Musicians of all ages and abilities, children and adults, enthusiastic hobbyists, and serious musicians wanting to enter college music studies a step ahead are all welcome to experience musical flourishing at FFMS. Fun and effective piano lessons are customized for you from a teacher experienced in working with a wide range of students, from preschoolers through music majors taking class piano as part of their degree, and adults just beginning or returning to the piano.

Christine’s piano lessons include up-to-date methods, games and ‘off-the-bench’ activities to make the piano accessible and fun for students of all ages.

Flute Lessons

Study the flute with an experienced and accomplished musical artist who has coached all levels of flute students to succeed at their goals. From children and adults who are just starting out, to junior high and high school-age band students taking auditions and flute-focused music majors at the college level, Christine has tried and true tips to improve breathing, flute tone and more!

If you want to produce a beautiful sound, play with more ease, and enjoy the musical artistry that the flute is capable of, flute lessons at FFMS are a wonderful way to grow as a flutist.

Preschool Piano

“How early can one start piano lessons?”  Preschool students can start piano at FFMS with a curriculum designed just for them!  Wunderkeys, My First Rhythm Cup Explorations, games, and more create opportunities for the youngest students to begin learning musical skills through age-appropriate activities.

Christine Taylor is a flutist and pianist with diverse performing and teaching experience. Her performance experience ranges from solo recitals and a variety of gigs, to playing principal flute in a professional orchestra. She has a true passion for working with students with a wide-variety of goals —from a child or adult picking up an instrument for the first time, to teaching college music majors who have gone on to careers in music.

Christine has a passion for seeing people flourish beyond any singular musical achievement. In her teaching she has personally seen that music lessons help people flourish in many ways. Her encouraging approach to teaching inspires her students to reach new levels while instilling confidence and encouraging individuality. Lessons are tailored to fit the student’s goals, interests, learning style and pace of learning. Every student’s musical journey is unique, and as a coach she seeks to partner with her students in their development as musicians, setting a standard of excellence and providing professional level guidance, while leaving the ultimate outcome and goals of study up to her students.

Christine’s students at every level benefit from her joy in helping to make the process of learning to play music on the flute or piano as easy and enjoyable as possible for all who desire to grow in and through music.
