Piano Accompaniment

Christine has experience accompanying woodwind players for Solo and Ensemble Contest. She has also accompanied college flute majors on some of the flute repertoire.

To discuss your project with Christine please use the General Inquiries Form at the bottom of the Contact page. Christine will be discuss with you whether she will be able to meet your needs for an accompanist.

Please know the date of your performance and rehearsals, an estimate of how many rehearsals you would need, travel distance, and any other specifics related to your project. Christine reserves the right to turn down any accompaniment request due to her schedule being at capacity, or the scope of the project may not match her ability to adequately fulfill the needs of the project. She will make suggestions for finding an accompanist if she is not able to meet the needs of your project.

Locally, expect accompanist fees to range considerably, with the average being maybe around $60/hour.

Gigs

Christine has experience with playing the flute for a small number of weddings, as well as for formal events that have a need for background music. She has focused her career on teaching and performing in larger ensemble settings, however she is open to gigs.

If you are interested in engaging her to play either the flute or piano for your event, use the ‘General Inquiries’ Form at the bottom of the Contact page to reach out to her. Please be prepared to discuss the date of your event, any needed rehearsal time, whether formal attire will be required, location, whether you desire additional musicians, specific songs if requested, or whether you would like her to choose music (please be prepared to talk about a style), etc.

Prices range, but typically being at a minimum of $300 for a local event with one rehearsal, for one musician at the event. After understanding the specifics of your event a quote will be provided.

Christine accepts projects based upon availability in her schedule, whether an agreeable fee can be negotiated, and based on whether she is equipped to play the songs/style requested, or arrange for additional musicians as requested. As an independent artist she reserves the right to decline projects based on whether or not she is familiar with the music/style and whether or not she has time in her schedule both for the events as well as rehearsals and practice time. All requests are welcome.

Church Services

Christine has provided special music for a limited number of church services, or filled in for other regular staff musicians, most often on the piano, but occasionally on the flute too. She is prepared to provide special music that is rooted in the classical style provide accompaniment for choirs, join with small ensembles, and is able to play most traditional hymns.
